Overview

Individuals and businesses have needs which are being met through information searching and action taking in relation to those needs.Some of the areas where individuals may anxiously search for information include

 

(a) Areas where they can improve their standard of living either through a better paying job, a supplemental job to support the current one, invest ments, business opportunities etc.


(b) Other areas of interest can include information relating to personal enrichment, entertainment, leisure etc.

 

Businesses on the other hand may constantly be searching for information in

 

(a) Areas where they can improve their business practices so as to remain competitive and become more profitable, and

 

(b) For information in areas and ways of protecting their investments to avoid being a victim of unscrupulous business partners or be involved in suspected fraudulent transactions,which may lead to a possible financial loss and a collapse of the organisation.

 

Searching for information may be very time-consuming in many cases

and can become frustating especially in situations where such information become unobtainable.

 

There are several reasons why information may become unobtainable these include but not limited to one of the following:

 

(a) lack of knowledge about the informat-ion being sought,

(b) lack of resources to pursue the search,and

(c) lack of time to devote to the search,or a combination of the three.

 

For these reasons,we have taken the time to search and compile some useful information in our database which will serve as resources for individuals and businesses who may need them.Although the internet has revolutionised the way information is being sought and found online,yet it still becomes difficult for some individuals and businesses to achieve this goal, due to some or all of the reasons indicated above.

 

It should be mentioned that one of the ways where success in doing business abroad is best achieved is either when the foreign company has a local representative in that country where it's intending to do business, or has someone who is knowledgeable and familiar with the local markets. Adopting this approach not only gets things done faster, but also saves costs on the long run.
